Being involved in the soccer world in Lansing, Michigan, has been one of the great joys of my life. Lansing Common FC was founded by fans, for fans, after Lansing’s professional soccer team folded after just one season of play. The Robins, as they are known, play in the amateur Midwest Premier League against other teams from around the state.
I have the honor of serving as the chair of the team’s Public Relations and Marketing Committee. I organize meetings where my fellow volunteers and I strategize on how to keep our team at the top of our league in fan engagement and how we can utilize our organization to help the community in Lansing. On game day, I try to help however I can—wether it be tracking players statistics or standing in as the public address announcer for our largest-ever home crowd.
I could talk about this for ages—so I will get into to portfolio pieces now. I do some graphic design work for the team including the match day programs and flyer included below.
