Center for Community Engaged Learning: Communications Strategy

The Center for Community Engaged Learning (CCEL) is the place to go for Michigan State University students looking to find volunteer opportunities and get involved in the community. However, not many students knew that. I did not before I began working at CCEL as an editorial assistant after four years of undergrad studies at MSU. From day one, it was evident that building awareness of the center and its resources was a priority.

Strategy

To help our audiences better understand CCEL and the resources that they offer, I developed—and constantly tweaked—marketing plans for the organization. Below, you can find a link to a communications brief that I created for CCEL, and to the left you can see a graphic detailing the “consumer journey” for MSU students with the center.

Infographics

One way that I sought to build awareness of CCEL to audiences of staff, faculty, and students at the university was through the use of infographics that showcased the accomplishments of the center in a visual appealing manner. A few of the infographics that I designed are linked below.
